Well,  this is also the story of HLG / SAL / DLG gliders with building instructions and advice on the internet, and that all started with the Terminator published on Charles River RC's homepage. A 1,5M HLG glider with drawings and instructions + modifications assessable to everybody with a modem and the gusts to get involved with the noble art of vacuum bagging:
