On January 9th 2005 I recieved a very nice letter from Dirk Pflug from Germany:

Hi Erik,

To contribute to your great homepage I send you the coordinates of my new
airfoil DP 1.89/7.83 which is mainly for modelplans, especially soarers.
It´s a very allround profil, amazingly fast but creates also a lot of lift
for floating and high Cl for tight turns. It´s a little faster than the MG
06 but has a better Cl/Cd at all reynold numers. There will be an article
about this airfoil in german magazine "aufwind" in  2/2005 or 3/2005. I
attached you the file in *.dat and a *.txt format.
Heinrich Fischer who makes the famous estrella for F3B has made new moulds
whith a different DP-airfoil - coordinates will be secret - and decided just
after one weekend testing together with Reihard Liese to stop the production
of the old estrella with the MW 3 and to produce from now on only the
estrella dp.

The airfoil is to be used with flaps in thermal conditions. The amount
of used deflection can be very high up to 10-12 degrees for floating.
The flaps are calculated with 28% depth but can range from 22-30%.

The airfoil coordinates have a copyright and is given only for private
